Rope grips.-A rope grip comprises an inner cylindrical member 1 formed with a tapered groove 5 to receive the rope, and an outer member 2 which is rotatably and slidably mounted on the inner member. After the rope has been passed through the slit in the member 2 into the groove 5, the member 2 is rotated to place the slit and groove out of register and is then slid along the member 1 to clamp the rope. A flange 4 and bead 9 form abutments between which the hand can obtain a firm grip on the device. An aperture 10 is provided in order that the device may be attached to a pulley block or other wire strainer. |
