The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for supplying fuel using an EGR cooler in which a part of fuel supplied from a fuel tank is heat-exchanged in the EGR cooler to control the temperature of fuel supplied to a common rail. According to an embodiment, the apparatus for supplying fuel to a diesel engine provided with an EGR cooler includes: a first supply line for introducing fuel supplied from a fuel tank to the EGR cooler through a low pressure pump; a second supply line for introducing the fuel that passes through the EGR cooler to a common rail through a high pressure pump; and a first bypass line for bypassing a part of the fuel that passes through the low pressure pump to a fuel mixing section formed on a front of the high pressure pump of the second supply line so as to be mixed with fuel that is cooled while passing through the EGR cooler.
