摘要 A deployment device for a prosthesis includes a driving assembly, including a driving tube and a driving pin. The deployment device also includes a driven assembly, including a driven tube and a driven pin. The driven pin and the driven tube may be further associated with the prosthesis. The driving tube, the driving pin, the driven tube and the driven pin may all be located coaxially, with the driving pin configured to translate through a cavity in the driving tube and the driven pin configured to translate through a cavity in the driven tube. This configuration allows for a two-stage implantation process for the prosthesis, as the driving tube and driving pin may move together in one stage and may move relative to one another in a second stage.

A deployment device for a prosthesis, comprising: a driven assembly configured to apply a force to the prosthesis, wherein the driven assembly comprises a driven tube including a hollow longitudinal cavity and wherein the driven assembly further comprises a driven pin movably disposed in the hollow longitudinal cavity of the driven tube; a base assembly including a handgrip portion, a trigger portion, and a driving assembly; the driving assembly having a driving pin and a driving tube that are moved axially relative to the handgrip portion by activation of the trigger portion to drive the driven pin and the driven tube, respectively, in a forward implantation direction away from the base assembly; wherein the driving pin and the driving tube are separate from the driven pin and the driven tube, respectively, such that the driving assembly may move independently from the driven assembly; wherein the driven assembly is releasably coupled to the base assembly, and the driving tube and driving pin are axially aligned with the driven tube and driven pin, respectively; wherein the driving assembly moves in the forward implantation direction relative to the handgrip portion by activating the trigger portion and impacts the driven pin and the driven tube such that the driven assembly applies the force to the prosthesis; wherein the driving pin and the driving tube are lockably engaged to one another and when activating the trigger portion the driving pin and driving tube move together for a first distance in the forward implantation direction relative to the handgrip portion; and wherein beyond the first distance, activation of the trigger portion causes the driving pin and the driving tube to unlockably disengage from one another and move relative to each other, such that the driving pin keeps advancing in the forward implantation direction to move the driven pin relative to the driven tube through the hollow longitudinal cavity of the driven tube.
