Disclosed are a system for detecting an overloaded vehicle in a highway hi-pass road and a method thereof by the present invention. The system for detecting an overloaded vehicle in a highway hi-pass road comprises: a camera to obtain an image by photographing an approaching freight-train car when a four-class or five-class freight-train car gets on the highway hi-pass road; an axle load weigher to obtain a measuring value by measuring a load added to a wheel of the approaching freight-train car; a control device to transmit a guidance massage for guiding a moving route to a predetermined and designated place according to a determination result by determining the type and overload of the freight-train car based on the obtained image and measuring value; a display device to display a warning letter for showing the overload of the freight-train car; and a control server to manage overload control of the freight-train car based on the guidance message. The guidance message includes the warning letter, a warning sound, and position information of the designated place for moving the freight-train car to the predetermined and designated place. |
