1. A method of enhancing tolerance to environmental stress in a plant comprising:
obtaining the plant, wherein the plant comprises a DNA construct comprising a promoter that functions in plants, operably linked to a DNA polynucleotide molecule selected from at least one of the group consisting of:
a) a DNA molecule encoding a polypeptide sequence at least 90% identical to SEQ ID NO:51; andb) a DNA molecule comprising the polynucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO:50; wherein the DNA polynucleotide molecule is operably linked to a 3′ termination region; and wherein the DNA polynucleotide molecule is expressed in the plant; wherein said plant exhibits enhanced stress tolerance compared to a plant of a same plant species not containing said DNA construct. |
