1. A polynucleotide which comprises a nucleotide sequence encoding a fusion protein, or the complement thereof,
wherein said fusion protein comprises a solubility-enhancing peptide tag moiety, a self-aggregating peptide moiety and a target polypeptide moiety, wherein said target polypeptide moiety is located between said solubility-enhancing peptide tag moiety and said self-aggregating peptide moiety, and said target polypeptide moiety is attached to said self-aggregating peptide moiety through a first linker comprising a first cleavage site, wherein said fusion proteins, upon expression in a host cell, are capable of forming active aggregates through said self-aggregating peptide moiety, wherein said self-aggregating peptide comprises an amphipathic self-assembling short peptide selected from the group consisting of amphipathic β-sheet short peptides, amphipathic α-helix short peptides and surfactant-like short peptides. |
