The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for generating the authentication key of a terminal. The apparatus includes: a basic key generating part which generates the basic key of a corresponding terminal; an encoding part which encodes the generated basic key; a basic key exchanging part which transmits the encoded basic key to another terminal, and receives an encoded basic key of the another terminal, from the another terminal; a decoding part which decodes the encoded basic key received from the another terminal, and extracts a basic key of the another terminal; and an authentication key generating part which calculates the basic key of the another key and the basic key of the corresponding terminal, and generates an authentication key. |
