[Class 108 (i).] In panelled work and particularly perambulator bodies the frame members are formed into their final shape before being grooved for the reception of the wood panels. In the case of a perambulator having side frames of substantially U-shape the grooves for the side panels may be cut by means of a circular saw of relatively small diameter having its teeth offset alternately in opposite directions to the required extent and a boss or flange being provided to determine the extent of penetration the grooving being effected by movement of the frame members with respect to the saw. The grooves for the end and bottom panels which may be combined are formed by a routing too] rotating about a vertical axis, the frame member being supported on a flat table and being moved relatively to the tool. |
