The present invention relates to a method to authenticate a user in accordance to a service request of a first terminal using a two-channel authentication method comprising: (a) a step of a service providing server receiving a service providing request from the first terminal; (b) a step of the service providing server generating service identifying information in accordance to the service providing request to transmit the same to the first terminal; (c) a step of the service providing server receiving a request of a log-in random value including at least one of a user ID which is pre-stored in a second terminal through an application related to the two-channel authentication activated in the second terminal and the service identifying information received from the service providing server; (d) a step of the service providing server confirming at least one of the user ID and the service identifying information, and then generating the log-in random value to transmit the same to the second terminal; (e) a step of the service providing server receiving, from the second terminal, the log-in authentication request including at least one from a signature value using the log-in random value and a certificate issued to the user from an authentication server during a membership registration; and (f) a step of the service providing server performing verification with respect to the certificate received from the second terminal and the signature value by linking with the authentication server, and provides webpage information in accordance to a log-in approval to the first terminal.
