[Class 80 (iii)] [Also in Group XXVIII] A rotor 16 formed with cylinder bores 17 parallel to the axis, turns on a fixed pivot 5 having inlet and outlet passages, and carries a pivot 19 driven through a clutch. The pistons are driven by a ring 33, 34 rotating in sliding shoes 49 in a fixed cup 42 the inclination of which can be varied by a handle. The pivot 19 and the ring are connected by a spherical bearing 22 keyed to slide on the pivot and cut away to receive the pivots of two curved keys 31 of rectangular section slidably engaging grooves in the ring. |
