An illumination device is provided that can reduce decreases in brightness of illumination light. The illumination device (10) includes a main controller (11) that identifies, when a color shade correction operation is performed, an LED that is degraded most significantly among a red LED (3a), a green LED (3b) and a blue LED (3c) in each of a plurality of light emitting elements (3), and classifies, based on a degradation rate of the LED that is degraded most significantly, the light emitting elements (3) into a first group in which color shade correction is performed and a second group in which the color shade correction is not performed. |
