According to the present invention, a power line communication (PLC) device includes a central processing unit (CPU), a memory, a programming device connection unit, an input module unit, and an output module unit. The CPU has two or more status modes including an execution mode and an idle mode, is capable of communicating with the memory, is capable of communicating with a programming device through a programming device connection unit, stores a loaded program to the memory when a program loading request signal is received from the programming device in the idle mode, and executes a repeated scan process to provide a result obtained by executing a command according to the program loaded with respect to an input signal supplied through the input module unit after an authentication checking step of the program loaded as a startup task in the execution mode to the output mode. The PLC device can prevent the unauthorized program modification and execution while enhancing the security of the user program. |
