The present invention provides a method, a device(s), and a system for recovering communications failure by using a gateway. The method for recovering communications failure in a gateway according to an embodiment of the present invention includes the steps of: detecting whether failure of a communications line occurs by monitoring change in voltage of the communications line; transmitting a communications line cutting request signal sequentially from a first to N^th smart joint block if failure of the communications line is sensed; and determining whether the failure of the communications line is recovered after transmitting the communications line cutting request signal. According to the determination result, a smart joint block with the failure can be identified and the failure of the communications line can be recovered. Therefore, more stable communications in a vehicle can be provided as the failure of the communications line is automatically recovered.
