The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for providing a vehicle-to-vehicle communication service. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a method for providing a vehicle-to-vehicle communication service in a digital information device interlocked with an output means which is mounted on a vehicle may comprise the following steps of: executing a predetermined application for the vehicle-to-vehicle communication service; generating a string corresponding to a voice message by recognizing the user voice message; and transmitting the generated string to the output means. Therefore, according to the present invention, a vehicle-to-vehicle communication service can be more effectively provided.
