A memory module includes: an emergency power supply unit; a volatile memory; a non-volatile memory; and a control unit which controls data in the volatile memory to be backed up to the non-volatile memory by using power supplied from the emergency power supply unit when power fails, and controls the data in the volatile memory to be restored by using the backed up data when power is restored. When power fail occurs while the data in the volatile memory is being restored, the data in the volatile memory cannot be backed up. |
