PURPOSE:To prevent air from flowing backwards and contrive to increase the amount of airflow, by a method wherein a mouth ring provided at a partition plate is projected to the suction side, in a device wherein a propeller fan is placed on the center axis of a fan hole provided in a partition plate separating the suction side and the blow-off side from each other. CONSTITUTION:In the window-type air conditioner, the outside air is delivered to the side of a condenser 5 by the propeller fan 2 driven by a fan motor 3, and the air heated to a high temperature by absorbing heat in the condenser 5 is discharged to the atmosphere. In this case, the mouth ring 1 provided at the partition plate 4 separating the suction side and the blow-off side from each other is projected from the plate to a height H=15-30mm. on the suction side, instead of being projected to the blow-off side. Accordingly, air is casued to flow while sufficiently spreading to end parts of the condenser 5, the pressure on the blow-off side is reduced, and backflow is prevented. In addition, by bending an end face of the ring 1 to the inside with a radius of curvature R=5-10mm., condensed water rolled up by the fan 2 is prevented from entering the suction side to adhere to the fan motor 3 or the like. |
