According to an embodiment of the present invention, the present invention relates to a red fluoride fluorescent substance coated with organic/inorganic materials and to a production method thereof. The method of the present invention comprises the following steps: coating a fluorescent substance after the production of a coating solution; and heat-treating the coated fluorescent substance after photo-hardening or drying the same. Through the organic/inorganic coating, it is possible to prevent moisture adsorption of the fluorescent substance and also to acquire stability of light and luminous efficiency of the light-emitting device due to improvement of thermal degradation and chemical stability when producing the light-emitting device. Moreover, reaction among materials close to the red fluoride fluorescent substance can be controlled.
