The present invention relates to a battery cell to embed an electrode assembly with a separator interposed between an anode and a cathode in a battery case. Provided is the battery cell with a structure which includes the battery case which is composed of a top case and a bottom case and includes a first receiving part in the top case and a second receiving part in the bottom case for receiving the electrode assembly and the electrode assembly which is formed with an outer shape corresponding to the inner shapes of the first receiving part and the second receiving part. The size of the first receiving part is different from the size of the second receiving part.
