Provided in an embodiment of the present invention is a multilayer ceramic electronic component comprising a ceramic body including an active part in which dielectric layers and internal electrodes are alternately arranged, an upper cover part arranged on the upper side of the active part, and a lower cover part arranged on the lower side of the active part; a buffer layer arranged inside at least one among the upper cover part and the lower cover part; and an external electrode arranged on both sides of the ceramic body, wherein the buffer layer includes 1 to 40 vol% of a conductive metal.
