<p>The invention relates to a pneumatic device for counting cereal seeds in order to determine the germination rate. According to the invention, the device comprises a support (1), a platform (2) for placing the filtering paper, a supply table (3), a mobile arm (4), some stoppers (5), a seed counter (6), some handles (7), a tube (8), some bearings (9), a counterweight (10), a piston (11), an electrical exhauster (12) with pressure variator and a flexible tube (13), when the electric exhauster (12) starts to operate, the air is sucked in through the flexible tube (13), a tube (8), an orifice (b), a vacuum chamber (c) and a perforated metal sheet (a), and, by pressing the seed counter (6) against the surface of the supply table (3) by means of handles (7), the hundred seeds are sucked in the hundred orifices with a diameter (f), placed at a distance (d) on the perforated metal sheet (a), in conformity with the standard for determining the germination rate, then by lifting the seed counter (6) from the supply table (3), operation which is carried out by means of the counterweight (10), and after visually checking that each of the hundred orifices on the seed counter (6) has a seed, the supply table (3) is removed by means of the mobile arm (4), said operation being limited by the stopper (5), the seed counter (6) is pressed onto the seeds, by means of the handles (7), against the surface of the platform (2), on which there was previously placed a moist filtering paper, the sizes of the filtering paper being the same as the sizes of the platform (2), the piston (11) is actuated so that a gasket (g) on the piston (11) is removed from an orifice (e), equalizing the pressure, the seeds being removed from the seed counter (6) by means of the counterweight (10), another moist filtering paper is placed on the seeds on the platform (2), the two filtering papers are rolled with the seeds at the inner side and are placed within a germinator.</p> |
