The present invention relates to an apparatus to wash a vehicle and a method to purify water thereof which repeatedly purifies water used to wash a vehicle, measure a quality of a purified water, and transports only a verified water to a purification unit. According to the present invention, the apparatus to wash the vehicle comprises: a base plate comprising a purification unit which purifies vehicle washing water; a cover unit disposed above the base plate supporting the vehicle to be washed; a water passage unit to collect the vehicle washing water flowing thereinto from the cover unit to transport the vehicle washing water to one side of the purification unit; and a water purification unit to receive the vehicle washing water from the purification unit of the base plate to purify the vehicle washing water. The purification unit of the base plate comprises: a first water collection tank disposed on one side of the purification unit to collect the vehicle washing water flowing thereinto from the water passage unit; a filter unit to filter out a foreign substance of the vehicle washing water flowing thereinto from the first water collection tank to transport the vehicle washing water to an other side of the purification unit; a second water collection tank disposed on the other side of the purification unit to collect the vehicle washing water purified by the filter unit; a water quality measurement unit to measure a quality of the vehicle washing water collected in the second water collection tank; and a control unit to feed the vehicle washing water of the second water collection tank back to the first water collection tank, or transport the vehicle washing water of the second water collection tank to the water purification unit depending on a measured value measured by the water quality measurement unit. |
