The source (100) has a transparent electrical insulating case (20) defining an enclosure containing electric insulating fluid, and transparent or translucent heat transfer fluid (30) e.g. oil, provided in thermal conductive contact with a rear surface of a plate/support (11) of a high power LED (10), where the source is in the form of a bulb. The plate is provided with a dissipator that is immersed in the fluid (30) and is in the form of a sleeve. A base houses a power supply circuit of the LED for being fixed in an electric lamp-holder powered by an electrical power distribution system. |
