PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a relatively small device applied to a skin, a modular system, and a method of use thereof.SOLUTION: In an aspect, a comparatively small device applied to a skin is constructed and arranged to have more than one module. For instance, the device may have: a module for delivering fluid to the skin and/or beneath the skin of a subject and/or withdrawing fluid from the skin and/or beneath the skin of the subject; a module for transmitting a signal indicative of the fluid delivered to the skin and/or beneath the skin of the subject and/or the fluid withdrawn from the skin and/or beneath the skin of the subject; and a module or equivalent for analyzing the fluid withdrawn from the skin and/or beneath the skin of the subject.
