PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus which creates a name of a folder/file for managing a document to be digitized, in the case of digitizing a manuscript, by using a character string intended by a user.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus acquires image data of a first page and image data of a second page, and designates a character string from character strings included in the image data of the first page. In the case where a character string at a position of the image data of the second page corresponding to a position of the designated character string in the image data of the first page matches the designated character string, the apparatus saves the image data of the first page and the image data of the second page into a single folder, and in the case where a character string at a position of the image data of the second page corresponding to a position of the designated character string in the image data of the first page does not match the designated character string, the apparatus saves the image data of the first page and the image data of the second page in different folders. |
