A PLANTATION INSTALLATION

A green or living wall is formed on the external architectural surface. The wail includes a waterproof layer to protect the surface from water and other materials from the living wall, and several plant support components extending horizontally in parallel to each other across the wall. The components include a tubular wail filled with a growth media formed of hydromix and/or potting substrate, one or more layers of a water retaining material and an out support layer. Plants are planted on the plant support components with their plants being imbedded into the growth media. The architectural surface may be oriented vertically, horizontally, or at an angle, and filler material may be used to shape the plant support components into various three- dimensional shapes.
