A ride control system (10) includes a plurality of ride vehicles (11) positioned within a course. The ride control system (10) includes a primary controller (48) and transceiver (46) in communication and a primary wireless network (50) formed by the vehicle and primary transceivers (44, 46) to include at least the primary controller (48) and the vehicle controller (20) of each vehicle (11). The primary controller (48) is configured to receive data indicative of the location of each vehicle (11) from respective vehicles (11) via the primary wireless network (50). The primary and vehicle controllers (48, 20) of each vehicle (11) are configured to provide a control loop for each vehicle (11) based on the data indicative of the location of each.
