PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging optical system capable of improving measurement accuracy by reducing the parallax in photographing of a grain to be discriminated and simultaneously capable of miniaturizing an apparatus configuration.SOLUTION: An imaging optical system 32 comprises a mirror 46 which reflects the imaging light of the grain to be discriminated toward the outside of the optical path of the imaging light as reflected imaging light, a lens 32A which is arranged outside the optical path of the imaging light and on the optical path of the reflected imaging light, and an area image sensor 33 which receives the reflected imaging light transmitted through the lens 32A and obtains the image data of the grain.
