A method and apparatus for recovering system software of an intelligent terminal belong to the field of error recovery. The method comprises: receiving a recovery command (101); obtaining wireless network connection information according to the recovery command (102); downloading from a network a recovery suite for the system software according to the wireless network connection information (103); and completing recovery of the system software according to the recovery suite for the system software (104). The technical solution described above enables an effective improvement in the efficiency of system software recovery, and accordingly user experience is promoted.
