A sudden timeliness search term identification method and system, and a method and system for inserting a news information entry in a search result page, the sudden timeliness search term identification method comprising: respectively calculating the trend of change in the search quantities of a search term in a first time period and a second time period, the second time period being a part of the first time period (110); comparing the difference between the trend of change in the search quantity of the search term in the first time period and the trend of change in the search quantity of the search term in the second time period, and according to the difference, determining whether the search term is a sudden timeliness search term (120). The present invention compares the long-term trend of change with the short-term trend of change in the search quantities of a search term in a time period, and even if the search quantity of the search term is maintained at a smaller magnitude, the burst of the search quantity is obviously reflected in the difference of the trend of change in the search quantity, thus facilitating the identification of a sudden timeliness search term. |
