A panic lock device (8) for an escape door (7) of a sectional door or of a sectional lift and fold door, in which the door (1) and the escape door (7) are horizontally subdivided into a plurality of sections (4, 5, 6), wherein the escape door (7) comprises at least one latch (13), is intended to ensure that the door can be opened very easily from inside but, on the other hand, is also suitable as a burglary-resistant security device. This is achieved by means of at least one additional door latch (11, 12), which can be actuated by a vertical espagnolette arrangement, and by means of an additional panic push member (14) which is operatively connected to the espagnolette arrangement in such a way that, when actuating the panic push member (14), the at least one additional door latch (11, 12) is retracted, as would be the case when actuating a door handle (15). |
