Embodiments of the present invention provide a method and apparatus for communication by using text information. In the present invention, a facial image of a user who is inputting text information is acquired; an emotion of the user is recognized according to the facial image; and text information that indicates the recognized emotion is determined and sent according to the emotion and the text information to be sent. By means of the present invention, the sent text information for indicating an emotion of a user can express the emotion of the user, and by combining the text information with the emotion, the semantics of the text information sent by the user can be clearly expressed, and the accuracy of information expression can be improved. |
