PURPOSE:To simplify the leading-out process and to increase the positioning accuracy of an external terminal, by producing a magnetic head with use of a 2- split thpe shielding case. CONSTITUTION:A shielding case half body 24 and external terminals 25 and 26 are formed in a body from the same material through a blanking process via a coupling part 27. A core holder 28 is formed by molding the resin such as the thermosetting resin, etc. and then the terminals 25 and 26 are formed independently of each other by cutting the part 27 for the half body 24. Thus the terminals 25 and 26 are formed in a simple way, and the number of monolithic forming processes can be reduced greatly for the half body 24 and the holder 28. In addition, the positioning accuracy is increased for the terminals 25 and 26 since the molding of resin is carried out after the terminals are connected to the half body 24. |
