PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect a velocity sensor from an excessively high temperature and/or pressure.SOLUTION: A velocity sensor 100 comprises a first portion 200, a second portion 500 and a third portion 800. The first portion includes a sensing assembly that generates a signal associated with a movement of an external object of the velocity sensor, and the second portion includes a wire ring harness that transfers the signal generated by an external device of the velocity sensor. The first portion and the second portion are bonded. The third portion is over-molded over a certain point of the velocity sensor where the first portion bonds the second portion. The over-molding of the third portion at this point can act to seal the point from external contaminants, and furthermore, the over-molding of the third portion at the point can act to reinforce the velocity sensor at the point. |
