The present invention relates to an inrush current suppression circuit used in a power conversion device equipped with an inverter circuit and a drive power supply circuit for generating a two-level DC voltage as a drive voltage applied to the drive circuit for switching elements constituting the inverter circuit. The inrush current suppression circuit suppresses inrush current occurring when the power supply is turned on and comprises: an inrush current prevention resistor (71) provided between a converter circuit for generating DC power supplied to the inverter circuit and a smoothing circuit; a relay (72) connected in parallel with the inrush current prevention resistor (71); and a relay control circuit for, when the relay (72) is switched to a closed state, applying the high level-side DC voltage of the two-level DC voltage to the relay (72) and for, after the relay (72) is brought into the closed state, applying the low level-side DC voltage of the two-level DC voltage to the relay (72) to hold the relay (72) in the closed state. |
