Provided in the embodiment of the present invention are a data processing method and apparatus. Each of M data streams received by a conversion circuit comprises n data units, the M data streams are corresponding to an M×n matrix with each element therein being a data unit, the conversion circuit utilizes M data units in n M×1 matrices in the M×n matrix to generate N data streams, and generating the N data streams specifically comprises utilizing each M×1 matrix in the n M×1 matrices to generate at least one data stream. As can be seen here, when the conversion circuit performing data processing performs data processing from the M data streams to the N data streams, the M data streams before the data processing are corresponding to one M×n matrix. The N data streams are obtained by data processing of the n M×1 matrices in the M×n matrix respectively. In the technical solution described above, data processing is relatively flexible, which is conducive to meeting the development requirements of Ethernet. |
