A data packet forwarding processing method and device. The method comprises: receiving a data packet; matching the data packet with a locally stored matching rule, and if it is learnt by judgement that the data packet matches one entry in the locally stored matching rule, forwarding the data packet according to the entry, wherein the matching rule comprises a plurality of entries, and each of the entries comprises an index value used for judging whether the data packet matches the entry and an operation instruction corresponding to the index value and used for instructing how to process the data packet. The matching of a received data packet and a matching rule is performed by a gateway or a base station, and the data packet is forwarded according to an operation instruction in a matched entry without forwarding the data packet through a GTP tunnel, thereby saving the network signalling overhead and bearer resources, and reducing the consumption of LTE network resources. |
