PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blood vessel endoscope system capable of observing or measuring characteristics, a length, and a constriction degree of a lesioned part inside a blood vessel through a clear image.SOLUTION: The blood vessel endoscope system comprises: a blood vessel endoscope catheter 1 that is incorporated with an illumination fiber 9 for irradiating an observation site inside a blood vessel with light from a tip part thereof, and an image transmission fiber 11 that comprises, at a tip part thereof, an object lens for obtaining an image inside the blood vessel of the observation site; a repeater 2 provided so as to be movable in a direction of drawing out the blood vessel endoscope catheter 1, the repeater 2 being provided with an imaging element part to which a base end part of the image transmission fiber is connected; and an imaging light source controller 4 connected to the repeater 2 via a cable 3. A multicomponent glass fiber is used as the image transmission fiber 11. |
