1. A formulation comprising an oxidatively curable alkyd-based resin and a chelant of the formula (I):wherein:
each of —R1, —R2, —R3 and —R4 independently represents —H, -C1-24alkyl, -C6-10aryl or a group comprising a heteroatom capable of coordinating to a metal ion; Q represents methylene or ethylene, in which one or more hydrogen atoms may be optionally independently replaced with a C1-24 alkyl or a C6-10 aryl; and Q′ represents ethylene or n-propylene, in which one or more hydrogen atoms may be optionally independently replaced with a C1-24 alkyl group or a C6-10 aryl. |
