A probe applicator (1) for positioning a bipolar electrosurgical probe (2) with a bendable distal probe end (5) having a probe tip with a bipolar electrode head (9) that is connected to two electrical conductors (7, 8) arranged in a probe casing (6, 6′, 6″), a shaft tube (3) in which the probe (2) is arranged, and a handpiece (4) with which it is possible to flex the probe end (5), wherein the shaft tube (3) is of rigid design and the shaft tube (3) and probe casing (6, 6′, 6″) are longitudinally displaceable relative to one another in the longitudinal direction, wherein the distal probe end (5) is pre-curved and is tensioned into an extended position when it is covered by the distal shaft tube end (17), wherein,
in a region of the distal probe end (5), the first electrical conductor (7) has a directionally curved pre-tensioning so that, when the shaft tube end (17) is retracted, the free probe end (5) of the flexible probe (2) is pushed into its bent, pre-curved position and when the shaft tube (3) is advanced, the probe end (5) is tensioned into its extended position by the surrounding shaft tube end (17), and the second electrical conductor (8) is a flexible wire cable. |
