PURPOSE:To reduce a transmission waiting time, by shifting a transmitting right in order from one end of a collision node to the other end, after a collision has occurred, then settling the collision. CONSTITUTION:A node 3-1 of the left end waits until a transmission line 1 becomes a non-signal state, and after that, sends out a packet in both directions on the transmission line. Nodes 3-2, 3-3 receive it, and after that, send each short reserved signal 8, 9 to the right side only. As soon as the signal 8 is received, the node 3-3 stops sending out the signal 9, and waits for the end of packet transmission of a collision node. The node 3-1 sends a packet 10 in both directions after sending the signal 8, since no reserved signal enters from the left. The node 3-3 sends out a reserved signal 11 to the right side after receiving the packet 10. Subsequently, since a reserved signal of other node does not enter from the left, a packet 12 is sent in both directions after sending the signal 11. After packet transmission of the node 3-3 has ended, the transmission line 1 has no signal. All the nodes are returned to concurrence phase when a non-signal period is detected for a sufficient long time. |
