Disclosed are a handheld terminal system switching method and apparatus, which can solve the problem in the prior art that when a handheld terminal fails during system software upgrade, the handheld terminal must be repaired with the help of other devices. The method provided in the present invention comprises: in a handheld terminal, establishing a switching unit independent of a software operating system of the handheld terminal; and switching a version of the software operating system of the handheld terminal to a target switching version using the switching unit. |
