Example implementations described herein are directed to social networking system, and in particular, to systems and methods for maintaining the ranking of documents within a social network system based on attributes such as the document space and author popularity. By scoring documents with the attributes described in example implementations, the attributes may also be updated from the scoring and the documents can be subsequently scored based on the updated attributes.
