A chemical heat storage device for heating an object to be heated, which is provided with: a heating unit which comprises a heat storage material that generates heat through a chemical reaction with a reaction medium, and which heats the object to be heated; a storage unit which stores the reaction medium; a connection tube which connects the heating unit and the storage unit with each other, and in which the reaction medium flows; an opening and closing valve that is provided on the connection tube; a control unit that controls opening/closing of the opening and closing valve; and a pressure detection unit that detects the pressure of a system that is configured of the heating unit, the heating unit and the connection tube. The control unit determines whether or not there is an abnormality on the basis of the results of detection of the system pressure detected by the pressure detection unit.
