<p>An informational system for users of a railway train comprising: a central ground control station (10) and a plurality of control units (12) arranged on respective carriages (4) of the railway train and provided with respective processing units. Each control unit (12) is at least provided with an interface unit for interfacing (13), by means of wireless local area network, with a plurality of portable user devices (14) belonging to passengers who are in the carriage. A data exchange mechanism is provided, with the portable user devices (14) to upload an application that allows passengers to access an informational service and enter personal identification data that are sent via the wireless local network and/or a global network to the control centre, which is adapted to implement and maintain a database containing personal data of the passengers and data representative of the journeys made by the passengers themselves. The control unit is further adapted, following receipt of a query made via the application, to transmit an information request to the central ground control station, which responds by providing the service data representative of the occupancy of the various carriages and the services provided in each carriage.</p> |
