Disclosed in the present invention are a method and base station for sequence generating. The method comprises: a terminal determining at least one first sequence according to at least one candidate sequence, the length of the candidate sequence is less than a sequence length corresponding to a maximal available system bandwidth; the terminal generating a second sequence by connecting the at least one first sequence or directly using the at least one first sequence as the second sequence, and receiving a signal according to the second sequence, the second sequence being at least one of a reference signal sequence or a scrambling sequence. In the way described above, the present invention can effectively obtain an actually used sequence, i.e. the second sequence, according to the access bandwidth of the terminal and/or the service bandwidth of a network for the terminal; the efficiency of sequence generating is high, and both the complexity and the energy consumption are low, and meanwhile, the situation in the prior art that a large amount of operations are required when the sequence is generated according to the maximal system bandwidth can be avoided, and thus computing resources can be saved. |
