PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide alkali swiftly soluble modified polyester fiber used as fiber low in chemical resistance in opal workability and easily capable of being subjected to etching removable with alkali, and a blended article thereof.SOLUTION: Provided is modified polyester fiber with a single fiber fineness of 0.6 to 3.5 dtex made of modified polyester using aliphatic dicarboxylic acid using ethylene terephthalate as the main structural unit, and in which 4 to 8C aliphatic dicarboxylic acid of 16 to 25 mol% and metal sulfonate group-containing aromatic dicarboxylic acid of 2 to 5 mol% are copolymerized, and also provided is a blended article with the modified polyester fiber and the other fiber.
