PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that improves the accuracy of a sheet detection operation.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes a detection part including a light source that radiates light for sheet detection and a light-receiving part that receives light. The image forming apparatus acquires an output signal value of the light-receiving part when the light source is turned on and there is no sheet as a reference value, and determines whether or not there is a sheet by comparing the output signal value of the light-receiving part when the light source is turned on with the acquired reference value. |
