<p>Abstract A labeling machine for marking test tubes is disclosed. The labeling machine comprises a barcode printer arranged to print barcodes onto labels. The barcode printer is adapted to receive 5 printing commands after comparing expected and detected test tubes accommodated in a positioning and recognition device supported by that labeling machine, and to apply the labels onto the test tubes. The labeling machine also includes a motorized main roller arranged to rotate in a first direction and cause rotation of a test tube in a second opposite direction using two passive secondary rollers. The label is dragged towards an imperceptible space between the 10 motorized main roller and the test tube, and the operations of printing the label and subsequent rotation of the motorized main roller and the test tube are coordinated in order to promote safe adhesion of label onto the test tube. 7079270_1 (GHMatters) P97651.AU.1 STEVENS</p> |
