摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of an internal combustion engine which can reduce an amount of exhaust particles at a cold time of the internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: This control device is employed to an internal combustion engine 10 which can switch an operation mode to a stoichiometric combustion mode in which a theoretical air-fuel ratio or an air-fuel ratio in the vicinity of the theoretical air-fuel ratio is set at a target air-fuel ratio, and a lean combustion mode in which an air-fuel ratio at a lean side rather than the target air-fuel ratio at the stoichiometric combustion mode is set at the target air-fuel ratio. In this control device, when switching the operation mode to the lean combustion mode from the stoichiometric operation mode while a temperature is raised to a prescribed temperature after a start of the internal combustion engine 10, a fuel amount supplied to the internal combustion engine 10 is reduced so that the air-fuel ratio of the internal combustion engine 10 is stepwise changed to the lean side from the target air-fuel ratio of the stoichiometric combustion mode.
