HYGROSCOPIC PARTICLES

These hygroscopic particles comprise a cross-linked polymer containing 6.0-12.0 meq/g carboxylic groups and 0.1-2.0 meq/g sulfonic acid groups and/or salt-type sulfonic acid groups, and because 80% or more of said carboxylic groups are neutralized by potassium salt, these particles have excellent hygroscopic properties, an excellent moisture absorption rate, and, even under high temperature conditions, have excellent hygroscopic performance and effectively prevent the release of moisture.
